A Little Relief for Raju Uncle

We met Raju Uncle, around 50 years old, who has been living in Karachi for nearly three years after coming from Mirpur Khas. He earns a very modest living by selling plastic crockery and storage boxes from a small setup on a busy roadside, often making only Rs. 10–20 in profit per item and struggling to earn even Rs. 100–200 a day.

Despite facing health issues and showing us his medical reports and medicines, he continues working to support his family. We listened to his story and offered him cash support equivalent to several days of his earnings. His immediate response was that he could finally go home, rest peacefully, and—most importantly—buy the medicines he had been unable to afford. A small gesture of support gave him a moment of relief, dignity, and peace.
