The Burden of a Refugee Mother
The Burden of a Refugee Mother

As a result…
The heavy burden of supporting the family falls solely on her shoulders.
One of the biggest challenges Roshida faces is the lack of access to clean water…
She has to travel to a water well many camps away, multiple times a day…
Just to get enough water for her family’s daily needs.
This is especially difficult because she also needs to care for her bedridden husband and maintain a household.
Although Roshida and her family depend on the support of NGOs to access essential items
Such as cooking oil, vegetables, rice, lentils, and raw fish…
The provided rations are often insufficient to sustain the family for the entire month.
The Rohingya people residing in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh are in a DIRE situation due to the lack of basic necessities.
These individuals were forced to flee from their homeland in Myanmar,
And are currently living in makeshift tents with no access to clean water or other basic necessities.
To this day…
Roshida continues to face immense difficulty as a refugee…
With a sick husband and three very young children to care for…
Going to get water from a distance was a great struggle for her.
Ek Plate Biryani has taken the initiative to provide assistance by installing 40 hand pumps for the people living in these camps.
By installing water pumps closer to the refugees’ makeshift tents,
We are providing them with a basic necessity that they have been deprived of
For far too long…
With easier access to clean water, families like Roshida’s will no longer have to travel long distances to fetch water multiple times a day.
With your help…
We can continue to provide relief and support to Roshida, her family, and all the other refugees in this camp.
Let’s come together to ensure they receive the assistance they need until they find the justice they have been denied.
